I have a Google Voice phone number, but I have literally (not figuratively) never used it for any purpose. Imagine my surprise when I received a voicemail with a callback number of 1-866-553-1342 saying that my "most recent statements" were "on hand". Oh yeah? My most recent statements? Wow, really? And you won't identify who you are, so I don't even know if I do business with you? And you called me back at a number I never gave you because I've never given it to anybody? Really?
I never thought of a Google Voice phone number being a honeypot, but I guess it is. I searched the web for the phone number and found others saying they got the same message, and it is a scam.
HA HA I GO CHOP YOUR DOLLAR! I AM THE WINNER! YOU ARE THE LOSER!
I shouldn't act so smug. Someday one of them will probably chop my dollar.
