Whoever Is Behind (714) 551-6823 Is A Fraudulent Spam Business

On April 23 I received a phone call from (714) 551-6823. The call was phishing for credit card information. They did not identify themselves, did not use my name, and stated that they had previously sent me mail, which was false. Whoever is behind that phone number is a fraudster, spammer, and bad human being.

Postscript: on April 26 I received another spam call from (401) 490-7470. It was spam about my vehicle warranty expiring, which of course is a nonsense phishing attempt. The recording was nonspecific, which is a great tip that it is spam.

  5. Same garbage, same number. They use many numbers constantly, many of which are spoofed because they are using VOIP to hide their true whereabouts. They are scammers, just like the call from Rachel at Card Services, the company who supposedly will give you a free home alarm, the ones who call because your "non-existent" car extended warranty expired! Something needs to be done to block unverified calls from foreign countries.

  10. I just got a call and missed it. Since I receive a lot of out of state and country calls, I called back. It was a prompt about erasing credit card debit. I hung up when they didn't ID themselves.
